Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was born on 14th April 1891 in Mhow in Madhya Pradesh. His full name was Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar. Also known as Babasaheb Ambedkar, he was an Indian jurist, economist, politician and social reformer who inspired the Dalit Buddhist movement and campaigned against social discrimination towards the untouchables (Dalits). He was independent India's first law and justice minister, the major architect of the Constitution of India. He was awarded with the Highest Civilian Award Bharat Ratna in 1990.
